Delete your account
Permanently delete your UptimeHunt account and personal workspace.
Delete your account
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Read this page carefully before proceeding.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed:
- Your UptimeHunt account and all login credentials
- Your personal workspace and every monitor, project, alert rule, and integration it contains
- Historical check data from your personal monitors (removed asynchronously within days via scheduled cleanup)
- All personal workspace API tokens you have issued
What is NOT deleted
- Team organizations you are a member of (but not the sole owner of) are unaffected. Your membership is removed, but the organization, its monitors, and its data remain.
- Resources you created inside a team organization stay in that organization — they are reassigned to the organization rather than deleted.
- API tokens you created for team organizations are preserved as org service tokens rather than deleted. These tokens remain valid after your account is removed. Org Owners can view and revoke them from Workspace settings.
Before you begin
Sole-owner blocker
You cannot delete your account while you are the sole Owner of any team organization. UptimeHunt blocks deletion to prevent organizations from being left without an owner.
To resolve this, for each blocking organization:
- Promote another member to Owner — go to the organization's Members page and change a member's role to Owner.
- Or delete the organization — only do this if the organization is no longer needed.
Your personal workspace never blocks deletion.
Active subscription
If your personal workspace has an active paid subscription, UptimeHunt cancels it automatically as part of the deletion. No further charges will occur after the account is deleted.
How to delete your account
- Click Settings in the left sidebar.
- Select the Security tab.
- Scroll to the Danger zone section and click Delete account.
- Review the confirmation dialog.
- If your account uses a password login method, enter your current password in the "Enter your password to confirm" field. Social or SSO-only accounts do not need to enter a password.
- Click Delete my account.
On success you are immediately signed out. The account and personal workspace are permanently deleted. Historical check data is removed on the next scheduled cleanup cycle.
What to do if deletion is blocked
If you see a blocking-organizations list in the dialog, click the linked organization name to go directly to its Members page. Promote another member to Owner there, then return to Settings and try again.
Irreversible
Account deletion is permanent. There is no grace period and no recovery option. Export any data you need before proceeding.
